Your subconscious mind concludes, \u201cThis task <em>is<\/em> difficult.\u201d As a result, each time you&#8217;re faced with this task, your subconscious mind influences you to think and behave in ways that reinforce the belief that it\u2019s difficult\u2014for instance, by making you feel overwhelmed or tempting you <a href=\"https:\/\/www.shortform.com\/blog\/to-procrastinate\/\">to procrastinate<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-table\"><table><tbody><tr><td><strong>Why Your Subconscious Mind Forms Conclusions About You<\/strong><br><br>Neuroscientists offer additional insights on <em>why <\/em>your subconscious mind uses your <a href=\"https:\/\/www.shortform.com\/blog\/thinking-habits\/\">habitual thoughts<\/a> to form conclusions about you: <strong>It prevents <a href=\"https:\/\/www.shortform.com\/blog\/how-to-deal-with-information-overload\/\">information overload<\/a> and helps you make quick decisions.<\/strong><br><br>Your subconscious mind is an unlimited memory bank that permanently stores your every life experience, even those you\u2019re not consciously aware of: Everything you experience is imprinted in this area of your brain.
