The vision should be ambitious, inspiring, and easy to remember. When you share a vision with people, they should be able to picture a new and better future. Here\u2019s an example:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li><strong>Bad vision statement<\/strong>: To create the best pillows on the market.<\/li><li><strong>Good vision statement<\/strong>: Create a pillow that earns 100,000 five-star user reviews.<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-why-a-powerful-vision-matters\"><strong>Why a Powerful Vision Matters<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Zhuo asserts that when people <em>don\u2019t<\/em> feel connected to an inspiring vision, their performance will likely suffer. Why? Because they don\u2019t clearly see that what they do makes a difference, and they\u2019re likely to prioritize their personal ambitions over collaboration. Conversely, <strong>when team members understand and support a big vision, they\u2019ll be motivated to do their part in moving it forward<\/strong>.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Also, <strong>a powerful vision helps define priorities to facilitate sound <a href=\"https:\/\/www.shortform.com\/blog\/methods-of-decision-making-crucial-conversations\/\">decision-making<\/a><\/strong>. However, not everyone agrees with Zhuo that a vision statement is always appropriate.
