His advice can also apply to anyone outside of the creative field.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Learn how to stay in the moment by following Kleon&#8217;s three guidelines.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<!--more-->\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>How to Stay in the Moment<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Kleon suggests that <strong>to ensure a healthy and productive creative process, you must stay in the moment. <\/strong>Learning how to stay in the moment prevents you from thinking too much about the past or worrying about the future\u2014this way, you can focus entirely on thinking of new ideas and putting them into your work.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>(Shortform note: Psychological research supports Kleon\u2019s suggestion that staying in the moment stimulates creativity. If you instead use that extra time and energy on your work in the present, you\u2019ll get more done and therefore will have less to do (and less to be stressed about) later on.)<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>To approach your life and work one day at a time, Kleon suggests you create consistent routines.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Guideline #2: Make a Creative Space<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Staying in the moment isn\u2019t just about <em>what<\/em> you do on a given day\u2014it\u2019s also about <em>where<\/em> you do it.
