King reminds us that there\u2019s no such thing as the \u201cperfect\u201d appearance. <a href=\"https:\/\/www.shortform.com\/blog\/beauty-standards-for-women\/\">Beauty standards<\/a> constantly change, but regardless, these are all social constructs that mean nothing. There are so many wonderful things about you that add to the world. Remember and appreciate these things.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Celebrate your achievements: <\/strong>Remind yourself of all the amazing things you\u2019ve accomplished, big and small, and celebrate these things. If you are proud of a project you completed, celebrate by making your favorite dinner or meeting with friends. This will help you love and appreciate yourself.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.shortform.com\/blog\/self-forgiveness\/\">Forgive yourself<\/a>: <\/strong>Everyone makes mistakes, but the only thing you can do about it is learn from it. You can\u2019t change the past.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Check your behavior: <\/strong>Are there things you\u2019re doing that are hindering your progress? Bad habits, addiction, toxic relationships?
