For example they: <\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Have higher self-esteem<\/li><li>Have better relationships&nbsp;<\/li><li>Feel more satisfied<\/li><li>Have lower stress levels<\/li><li>Experience more positive emotions<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>P<a href=\"https:\/\/healthypsych.com\/the-study-of-authenticity\/\">sychologists break authenticity down into three components<\/a>: how well you know and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.shortform.com\/blog\/how-to-understand-yourself\/\">understand yourself<\/a>, how well your behavior reflects your true feelings, and how often you <a href=\"https:\/\/www.shortform.com\/blog\/how-to-change-your-behavior\/\">change your behavior<\/a> to meet external expectations.&nbsp;The more self-aware you are on these three fronts, the more you can understand your motivations and assess whether or not you\u2019re acting authentically.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Every human being is unique, inherently valuable, and always evolving. You\u2019re not inferior to anyone. You&#8217;re not superior to anyone. You are simply you, and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.shortform.com\/blog\/how-good-are-you\/\">you are good<\/a> enough. A unique and successful personality is a sign that you\u2019ve accepted yourself as you are, figured out what brings you genuine satisfaction, and that you proactively pursue experiences that make you feel satisfied.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>How to Live More Authentically <\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Shame and vulnerability expert Bren\u00e9 Brown says that inauthentic behaviors result from feelings of fear and shame. In <a href=\"https:\/\/www.shortform.com\/app\/book\/the-power-of-vulnerability\">The Power of Vulnerability<\/a>, Brown argues that you\u2019re more likely to engage in authentic behavior when you accept that you\u2019re inherently worthy, choose to share your feelings of shame, and allow your vulnerability to be a sign of strength, not weakness.
