You get out of a sales slump by pinpointing what&#8217;s causing your lack of conviction and reinvigorating the enthusiastic spirit with which you were first selling the product.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Read on to learn more about how to get out of a sales slump.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<!--more-->\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Becoming <\/strong><strong><em>Un<\/em><\/strong><strong>sold: The Three-Month Sales Slump<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>There\u2019s a common phenomenon in sales in which a salesperson sells a product successfully for 90 days and then chokes. <strong>If you find your sales slumping, there\u2019s a good chance you\u2019ve become <\/strong><strong><em>un<\/em><\/strong><strong>sold<\/strong> (perhaps you\u2019ve gotten some feedback from consumers that the product isn\u2019t as good as you thought it was, and now you\u2019re sold on the idea that you <em>shouldn\u2019t <\/em><a href=\"https:\/\/www.shortform.com\/blog\/how-to-sell-a-product\/\">sell the product<\/a>). To escape the slump:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Review the reasons the product is beneficial.<\/li><li>Find out what\u2019s causing your lack of conviction.<\/li><li>Recall the same spirit you had when you were first selling the product.<\/li><li>Troubleshoot your failures. Perhaps when you failed to close a sale for the first time, you attributed it to the wrong reason and therefore came up with the wrong solution, and are continuing to use this inappropriate solution.<\/li><li>Don\u2019t blame unrelated factors. For example, some people feel their competitors (or the Internet) can offer such good prices that no one will buy from them. As long as you are sold, you can outcompete.<\/li><li>Consider whether management has made changes that affect the sales process.
