It prefers to sneak in and hijack your mind. A mental story map provides a specific technique for shining light on these unwanted intruders.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Here\u2019s how you make one:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Step 1: Draw your map.<ul><li>Write down your current <a href=\"https:\/\/www.shortform.com\/blog\/innate-emotions\/\">primary emotion<\/a>.
