First, work with your team to develop a vision. <strong>Ask<\/strong>: What are our goals; what do we hope to accomplish; what do we want for the future?<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>2) Tie your vision with a larger purpose<\/strong>: Ask: What do we stand for; how can we make a difference; what great things can we strive for; how can we benefit others; how will our vision help our team grow?<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>3) Write down your vision\/purpose statement<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>4) Focus on your vision: <\/strong>Give each member of your team a copy of your statement. Ask each member to review it daily and visualize the team achieving its goals.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>5) Identify goals and actions: <\/strong>Ask: What goals does our team need to achieve to realize our vision; what actions do we need to take to achieve these goals? Give each team member a copy of the goals and actions.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>6) Invite others on the bus: <\/strong>Ask: Who else needs to be involved to help us achieve the goals and vision? Invite them to join the team.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>7) Cultivate positive energy and enthusiasm: <\/strong>Engage and energize each other daily so negative energy can\u2019t take hold. Build a culture of positive energy.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>8) Confront \u2018energy vampires:\u2019<\/strong> Identify negative team members who are hindering the team\u2019s success.
