The ideal work environment is an important part of the Parachute method.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Keep reading for more about how to identify your ideal work environment.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<!--more-->\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Determine Your Ideal Work Environment<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>The goal of this petal is to <strong>figure out what kind of conditions and locations you most prefer working in. <\/strong>So, you describe your ideal working environment.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The entries on this petal will be a list of descriptions of your surroundings\u2060\u2014physical surroundings only because you\u2019ve already covered people surroundings in the first petal. An example petal might read: somewhere with lots of natural light, flexible hours, standing desks, a short commute, air conditioning.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>There is one worksheet involved with filling out this petal:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Worksheet: Ideal Workplace<\/strong><\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p>Like Petal #1\u2019s worksheet, this worksheet will involve reflecting on what you don\u2019t like and then considering the opposite.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>On a scrap piece of paper, create a chart with the following four columns:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-table\"><table><tbody><tr><td>Column A: Jobs you\u2019ve had so far.<\/td><td>Column B: Working conditions you don\u2019t like, in any order.<\/td><td>Column C: Top five worst working conditions.<\/td><td>Column D: Top five best working conditions.<\/td><\/tr><tr><td>Here, write a list of all the jobs you\u2019ve ever held.<\/td><td>Here, write a list of ten conditions that you didn\u2019t like working in and\/or that decreased your productivity. For example, perhaps you didn\u2019t like working in an office that was near a door because every time it slammed loudly, it distracted you.<\/td><td>Here, write the worst five items from column B in order of priority. Use the prioritizing grid.<\/td><td>Here, write the opposite of the items in column C. Again, you don\u2019t have to write the exact opposite.
