However, some of the blame for mismanaging your brain\u2019s resources must be laid at the feet of some common psychological fallacies. They include <a href=\"https:\/\/www.shortform.com\/blog\/faulty-assumptions\/\">faulty assumptions<\/a> based on incomplete data, overconfidence in our beliefs, and unconscious biases in your thinking. For instance, you might underestimate how long a task will take because you\u2019re not aware of some complicating factors, or you might dawdle on easier tasks while assuming it\u2019s safe to put off the hard ones.
